Holiday Fun Club.

My weekend turned into a somewhat musical experience. With a touch of fashion. Robyn and Lojsan played at the Whyred party. And Holiday Fun Club let their hair down at Monkey Bizz’s five years anniversary.

Paula took this charming photo of Elin, Tobias and me. Notice the shaved part of my skull?

Boys+girl night out. In a cave with Carl, Magnus and Toby. It was smokey and strobey. With a touch of goth and punk.

Matthew’s bag of tricks.

Style.com

Matthew Williamson is doing a collab with H&M. It’s old news, I know. But how many of you have reflected on that this collab will even result in menswear?

You think it’ll be as daring? I truely hope so. Imagine Ibiza chic with neons and bohemian beading on a slim-cut suit. That’s exactly what a depressed economy needs.

Medicine for melancholy.

Not particularly known to be an early bird, I walked down to Grand this morning to watch “Medicine for melancholy”, an independent feature film by Barry Jenkins.

“Medicine for melancholy” is not only a love story of bikes and one-night stands told through two African-American twenty-somethings. Several of the scenes dig into the issues of class, identity, and the evolving conundrum of being a minority in rapidly gentrifying San Francisco—a city with the smallest proportional black population of any other major American city. But even though, the characters’ interaction is complicated by racial and political elements it does have its humorous moments.

The music choice is also worth mentioning. Great sounds from Au Revoir Simone, The Changes and The Answering Machine.

True Colors.

Ane Brun’s cover of Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors just climbed to #1 on iTunes’ Swedish hit list. Would I be wrong if I took some of the credit for it?

40,47°N/73,58°E.

40,47°N/73,58°E is the location for Carin Wester’s sample sale which started this morning. Once I’ve had a coffee, I’ll nip down for a quick view.

Afternoon plans involve lunch with the girls at Pontus and the matinées Adulthood and Achilles & the Tortoise. Feels quite luxury for a Wednesday, don’t you think? But after all, it’s the festival season.
