Chic and muture.

Yesterday was a bit of a disaster admin wise so I didn’t get to spend that much time at the shows as I’d planned. Whyred and Diana Orving was it. Still, very chic and muture and sort of inspired my dress code for tonight’s closing party.

Double fortune.

After a week of brainstorming and sketching (and questioning), Ida and I finally nailed the concept for this fall. It’s about a Chinese munk and his fortune well, with some inspiration taken from this video. Not much of a mood board yet, but we’ve still got 36h until presentation time.

And oops. We’ve ignored the fact that we need to come up with a second proposal. If you believe in an idea you should stick with it. Or what do you think?

Dark and eccentric.

Dark and eccentric were the keywords for the first day of Stockholm Fashion Week. Dark influences were picked up at nearly every show, from The Local Firm and Acne to Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair and Carin Wester.

My highlight of the day? No doubt Fifth Avenue. The tent setting (very London), the styling, the music. It was very me. And Paula. Eddie thought they tried a bit too hard, but that’s what shows should be all about. Trying harder.

Bread and Butter.

The same team which attended Pitti Uomo in Florence were just as successful at Bread and Butter in Barcelona. A number of new potential retailers despite global recession showed interest. And Rocky, our PR queen, had her daily flings with the media. Here are some closeups before the action got started.

My essentials.

In my Vogue post, I linked to Björn’s ten essentials. And one of the questions you asked me then was what made my life complete, besides my job. Didn’t quite make it to ten though, but here you are, six of my life essentials in a similar non-rated order.

London.

You can take the girl out of London, but you can’t take London out of the girl. London was my city for years and even though Stockholm is truly home to me now, I’ll never let go completely.

Hello Kitty.

She adorns my phone, my diary and nearly every nook and cranny of my home.

Mama’s stir fry.

Nothing better to keep my tummy happy.

My girls.

They are my extended family and everlasting wining and dining companions.

Vinyl.

My musical trophes.

Percy.

The man behind Björn’s success makes sure I stay fit. And keep my ball sense.
