Edinburgh on a Tuesday.

March 31, 2009

We’re staying in Grassmarket, the cozy part of Old Town in Edinburgh. This is our view. Plenty of vintage shops — and it’s cheap! Love the 50p baskets. Pubs open till late. Not a lot can beat the British pub culture. Love my pints! And not to mention all the handsome men in kilts!

True blue.

March 30, 2009

So I’ve just arrived in Edinburgh. The weather? Sunny 14 degrées and true blue skies, just like this piece in V Magazine. (Hope I’m not boring you with all the weather references. You do get a bit excited about sunbeams when you’ve put up with such a long winter!)

Summery mood.

March 30, 2009

Despite a very snowy weekend, all comments about your ideal summer holidays got me into a very summery mood. So thanks, really! Hopefully I’ll get to show you some of the prints you inspired us to within a couple of weeks, so that you may have your say. And as promised, I’ll treat all great […]

Twins.

March 29, 2009

Hope your weekend was good! Mine turned out a bit unexpectedly. My twinbrother moved in with me yesterday, temporary, but as I’m off to Edinburgh tomorrow for a few days he might as well make himself comfortable. This is us three years old. Aren’t we cute?

Miss Pettigrew.

March 28, 2009

One of my first blog posts recognised Winifred Watson’s Miss Pettigrew lives for a day. But it slipped my mind and it was only last night I got around to see the film adaption. Set in a very glamorous 30s London, it’s a divine cinderella story for grown ups. So I’ll probably watch it again tonight. […]

But I’m sort of stuck, so thought I’d ask you for some advise based on these questions: What symbols summer to you and what does your ideal summer holiday consist of? Be spontanious. You […]

Mood board.

March 24, 2009

So I mentioned babysteps. Andrée is right now working on a couple of new prints to HS10 (High Summer). Stella is putting together the pantone colour charts with help of a bit of lego. And me, I’m looking at completing the mood board. Sophie Leblanc’s illustrations are spot on. And so are Kat Macleod’s. Along […]

I melt with you.

March 23, 2009

Such a great song. Such a great video. Nothing too exciting happening this week workwise. Deadlines are achieved so just really waiting to hear back from our global sales team. We (but not me) will walk them through the autumn specials and the new SS10 concepts later in the week, in Amsterdam. And then we’ll just […]

Andreas Gursky.

March 22, 2009

Yesterday, Ida and I walked down to my favourite art space in Stockholm to check out German über-photographer Andreas Gursky. I was pretty eager to see his new stuff given it’s been nearly seven years since I acquainted myself with his work for the first time, at the MOMA in New York. Here are some of […]
