Hugh Holland started photographing skateboarders on in 1975. During the next three years, he captured the experiences of various tribes of tawny, young revolutionaries, whose lives were shaped by the sun-bleached Los Angeles’s suburbs—from the San Fernando Valley to Venice Beach.
