Broken hearts club.

Today we launched our fifth Close Up. We meet party girl Ingrid Junker from Berlin, a girl who turned her broken heart into something sweet. Watch the whole episode here. Also got a quick tête-à-tête with her, enjoy!

What makes you happy?
I’ve always loved dancing to great music. Nothing else compares to that and I’ve always loved music.

Who do you think has the Spirit?
The people who come to the Broken Heart nights, dancing and partying like there’s no tomorrow.

Where do you get your inspi­ration?
I would never have thought that my broken heart would get me into all the fun I’m having now, but that’s where the inspi­ration came from so…

What type of music gets you going, gets you pumped?
I really like those Ex-Otago guys you sent me and I love a lot of disco and no-wave stuff.

    Gabbi — yes, I think all streets should look like this one!
    Sam — no-wave was sort of the radical reaction to new wave and punk during the 70s/80s. pitchfork, among others, wrote an inter­esting article about a year ago mentioning many new talents within this genre. google, i’m sure you’ll find it!
