One of my first blog posts recognised Winifred Watson’s Miss Pettigrew lives for a day. But it slipped my mind and it was only last night I got around to see the film adaption. Sweet! Winifred Watson’s 1938 novel “Miss Pettigrew lives for a day” is now a film. It’s about the triumph of optimism, glamour and friendship over gloomy circumstances. Nothing more than a fairy tale, but still a lesson for life.
